THE COUPLE
They met in a backpackers Hostel in Australia and travelled the world to be together. Finally 2 different worlds united on a little beach in Naxos.
WHERE
Just below a stunning blue and white church a small bay with lapping waves was the site of their Symbolic Ceremony with 60 guests.
STYLING
Dressed chairs and peach accents - an arch draped in gauze and lots of flowers - bouquets for each bridesmaid and stirrups for the boys - the bride and groom made their own signs and were thoughtful enough to provide lemonade for their guests under the hot sun. We designed a photo booth for them that hung under a tree and had the setting sun as a back drop.
SOURCING & PLANNING
Everything was sourced in Naxos from extra large tablecloths to hanging lights and candelabras. Although we were hired in the middle of the brides' planning schedule we helped them write their personal vows - officiated at the Ceremony - oversaw all the vendors- organized both venues and made sure everything was in its place and ran on time.
FUN & MEMORIES
The fun started with the loss of one bowtie - the frantic search and the discovery of a plan B. The live musicians called in to escort the bride to the Church service got lost on the way! The brides choice of entrance song "Teenage Dream" set the tone for the rest of the Celebration - FUN!
KIND WORDS
We began planning our wedding without the help of Debbie and Flora and found them coincidentally on Instagram while researching photo booths for our wedding reception. We couldn't be happier that we found them and contacted them. Even though we had most things planned out, they gave us lots of great additional ideas and advice to make our big day perfect in every way. They made us feel welcomed and cared for right away and they had a great eye for details. On the day itself, they took care of almost everything from the symbolic wedding ceremony to the decoration at the reception and the coordination of all vendors. The day could not have been more perfect. Thank you Debbie and Flora for all your help and hard work. I would recommend island events to every bride and groom looking to get married in beautiful Naxos. It takes a lot of the stress off that comes with planning a wedding and the day itself will become a dream come true. These ladies are amazing.
