THE COUPLE
George travelled to the United States to study and met his bride Yutong who is from China. Two worlds unite in this beautiful story of love and laughter and true happiness as they bring their families from afar together in Greece.
WHERE
A stunning blue and white church by the sea is all they wanted so Agia Anna was the perfect choice. Along with a cliff side villa for their party all their dreams came true.
STYLING
The bride wanted olive branches to represent the Greek countryside. We made wreaths and had vases of white and light pink peonies. She wore her special Converse All Stars to navigate the beach boardwalk but slipped in to her Jimmy Choos for the party. Paper lanterns lit up the dinner area and candles floated in the pool.
SOURCING & PLANNING
We were able to plan and style using our vendors in Naxos. Yutongs' family happily brought decoration items from China. Silver chargers and silverware were used on the table along with dressed and decorated chairs.
FUN & MEMORIES
The fun started with bride and groom being escorted in by the traditional Greek musical escort of lute and violin then the the grooms family from Bulgaria started the dancing and never stopped! Lamb on the spit and lots of roast potatoes and fresh salads were served before the cake was cut. During dinner they drank the grooms fathers' homemade wine and the brides father toasted the couple with a special liqueur from China. A perfect melding of two cultures while happily embracing Greek traditions.
